Rose! I am so happy to hear you voted, and I am proud of you.
I stayed up all night live blogging the election, although there wasn't a whole lot to report other than the happy smiling faces I saw as they were dipping their fingers in the ink. :) Oh and a few actually dancing in the streets after voting.
Now I pray that your country can get a good constitution in place that will be fair to all Iraqis. In my opinion a secular government will be much better than a theocracy. A secular government can allow all religions to co-exist while a theocracy might me more inclined to favor one over the other.

Congratulations to you and all of Iraq! You are truly courageous. This was history being made. I watched fox news all night and prayed all night. What a wonderful sight to see! I told all those nay-sayers we weren't forcing democracy and freedom on you, hell no! You wanted it and you proved it. Bless you, I am smiling from ear to ear at how proud I am of all of you, watching everyone walking hand in hand in groups, smiling, dancing, singing I believe most of the world was celebrating right along with you. You stood up to the terrorists, I pray for your continued safety. I prayed for weeks for your courage,strength and safety. I am sooooo happy for you all! Peace and blessings from America!!!
